Xbox X controller.

im using the controller on my pc for gaming.
every time i unplug it from the pc it turns the Xbox on.
can i stop this from happening?

Do you have the auto turn on when using the controller setting on?
I think there is a place where you can set in the Xbox to turn on automatically when the controller is on.

i had a look in the settings but couldnt find anything. although i did discover that the control pad and headphones needed an update. i never knew that was a thing.

This happens to me too and is very annoying. The issue is also that I would still want the controller to be able to turn on the xbox, but just not after I've unplugged it from using it on my pc

i did discover when using the pad on a laptop, that if i close the screen so that the laptop goes into standby mode, then it turns the control pad off without starting the Xbox up.
