Xbox X plate

Hey guys

just got a Xbox from my mate at work as it is ''broken'' and he got a new one. I am doing the heat gun trink on it that I did on my ps3 but have no idea how to get the X-plate of the back of the mobo. Looks like a torx screw but cant find one that fits- any help?

It is a torx screw, size 6 or 8.

I think its got a pin in the middle, which you will either need to modify a bit or buy a new tool.

No it hasn't. It's a standard Torx screw.

The Torx with the bits in the middle are in the controllers.
