Xbox360 component to HDMI converter

I gave my TV to my parents a while ago, thinking I could just link my Xbox to ym monitor with an HDMI cable if I wanted to play it again, but apparently the pre-owned 60GB models from Gamestop are cheaper models with a bigger hard drive - I can't even find the cover receipt to give it a shot. So I've had a search around for converters, but the cheapest YPbPr to HDMI converters look to be about £40. Is there anywhere I can get it cheaper, or any other options I've got?

Best and cheapest option would be to get a official xbox VGA cable to use with your monitor.

Is it possible to connect an xbox to a monitor with only DVI-D and D-Sub inputs?

D-Sub 15 is a VGA port.
