You can but you need an adapter...there are various one on the market going from OK to pretty good. But you cant just plug and play.

I think the XIM2 is suppose to be the best

It isnt the same as a PC feel but its pretty close.

I had a mate in the same position as you but he stuck with the controller and now he's fine with it.

So you tried it for 5 minutes and gave up? Learn how to use it you big girl:D

I'd wager that if you keep at it you'll get used to it, what problems are you having?

The only real way pads hinder me in FPS games is when people jump over you or you need to turn really quickly, it can be annoying at times but in general I don't feel that pad controls are too much of a problem, mainly because everyone has the same problem.

You could try messing about with sensitivity and look inversion, I can't seem to play without Y inversion =/

Heh, 360 controller.. christ it drove me spare.. took me 2 or 3 months to get used to to playing oblivion (off and on) and then sat down for a fortnight and played it solidly. Not had any issues, even started buying FPS on the 360 and it felt pretty natural.

However havn't been on me 360 since christmas, so guessing diving into any shooter games will take it's toll :D

But quite interesting bit of kit, although damnit it's gunna suck if a few people have mouse/keyboards when everyone else is on the same playing field of a pad :(

It doesn't really work as well as mouse and keyboard on PC and also raw aim is only a small part of being a great FPS player.

Has anyone from these forums got some firsthand experience with one of these? I really can’t get into any fps properly using the controller. Been reading up on the xim forums on them and they seem to be the dogs dangles but £130 is a pretty hefty price tag.
