does anyone know anything about this, if its true or just a vicious rumour. if it is true it would be great, streaming from the pc and all

Its a rumourd to be in the fall update i belive? But this has been talked about before on here. Maybe somone else will know.

That *Xvid support line was from the fake 'too good to be true' list. Divx has the strongest chance of arriving on the 360. I wish Xvid would be added though.

If Microsoft add Divx/Xvid support they know this will diminish sales of their legitimate WMV content. From a business stand point there is no real reason to.

Apart from the fact that Sony are introducing DivX compatibility to the PS3. It all comes down to Microsoft deciding to let Sony have it, or get it for the 360 as well.

It's just that when i got my new 360 the other day it asked for an update and because my internet was "broken" I didn't let it and some reason it's not asked again since.

when you put games in, it had latest dashboard and will update if needed, I THINK

That's just for each game, didn't know if it needs one for the firmware, but i did keep my old HD.
