xbox360 display settings

got my xbox connected to my samsung 32" led tv at 1080p but it seems really pixelated, anyway to make it look clearer i sit quite close to the tv as its on my desk ??

i Assume youve changed the xbox system video settings to the correct resolution for your tv?

Is your 32" tv actually 1080p or it is actually 720p? If its 720p and you set the xbox to 1080p youll get a readjusted image by the tv to downscale the output to what the tv can render and hence the picture wont look quite right. You need to set the xbox output to the same input of the tv so no scaling exists

Yeah its defo 1080p, be lucky if games are 720p never mind 1080p mind.

I reckon try both, but won't make much of a difference.

I don't like game mode on my TV, THX looks much better if a little too dark for gaming.

I reckon there will be some settings on AV Forums, but I turn sharpness off for any HD content.

For what it's worth, the Xbox dashboard/menus look atrocious at 1080p anyway, especially text. Why MS didn't fix that with the latest dashboard update, I'll never know.
