xbox360 headphone volume booster

Does anyone know if there is a small device, preferably in-line, that will boost the volume of my 'official' 360 headset...its painfully quiet!

Turn the volume up?

Mine's super loud if I have it on the highest setting.

Either than or it's narked. In which case get a new one off the 'bay or something.

Ah well if that's the case, take it back to the retailer (if you got it from the highstreet) and ask for a new one.

If it came with a console, and you got it online, I'd get one online somewhere else. For the hassle of a couple quid it's not worth sending it all back personally.

Not just the dial on the headset connector, have you put the headset volume up on the xbox itself through whatever blade that controls it on the system settings?

Yes, the Xbox Live audio setting is set to "headset only" and the volume is at maximum.

Think i'll try and exchange hopefully the next one will be better. It is one of the new designs with the inline controls and tiny jack for the controller.

My brother has the old style (console bundled item) with the large grey connector and mute button on it - he has no problems with it.
