Xbox360 on a 50hz LCD at 1680x1050?

2 questions really.

1) Will it work ok at that res, but might have black bars top and bottom?

2) Will Pal60 games still be ok on a 50hz LCD screen?

How will you be connecting it? And do you really have a 50Hz screen at 1680x1050? That sounds like a PC resolution to me and if it's got a PC input it'll support 60Hz

It'll be connected via HDMI, yes it does have VGA input.

Its a Technika 22" DVD combo TV jobby.

I always play the xbox at that res, and looks great imo.
You really want to make sure it supports 60hz, otherwise it will look black and white!

Luckily all is well. Plays the xbox great, no borders or anything and does look fantastic.

Well chuffed, this 22" TV cost £84, built in freeview, DVD (plays divX) and has full PC inputs as well. Cant see any ghosting either. Was on offer at a "well known food superstore."

How the hell did you manage to get it working at 1680x1050?

Surely it cant be as simple as plugging it in?

Unless you actually meant to say "on 1680x1050" and not "at"?
