Xbox360 problem?

Just been playing through my new game, and 2 red rings came up both on the left? It turned the game off so got to start again My xbox aint dieing is it, ive had for about 2 years. Am i likely to get the 3 rings?

How much space is there round the console, is it directly on a carpet?

Are the vents blocked?

Its on a shelf, wheres its been for 2 years, never had this problem of heat before. The fans going around (im going by the noise it makes) its always been quite loud my one.
Should i take the hover to it and give it a clean, like i do with my pc.

Just got to the exact same spot in the game (a cgi video) and its done it again. It cant be the disc cause my brother played it like about 2 hours before me and got to that part and past it with no problem?

I would say its pretty warm, but i have to say its the first time i touched the xbox360. To see if its hot so i aint got nothing to compare it too. The xbox360 has been on for about 6 hours the longest game session ive had. Well since the first week of owning the console.

Hmm my rooms always like a freezer so my 360 feels not very warm most of the time (Had mine on basically all day yesterday )

I'd try temporary replacing your 360 elsewhere see if its any better or getting somebody to stand there blowing it to keep it cool :O

If you know how to open it, and its not got warrenty try seeing if the heatsinkz clobbered with dust

Just ran the hoover over it and, gave it a good clean, couple puff of dust came out. Going to give it another go, if that doesnt work i dont know what to do
