XBOX360 / PS3 - money burning a hole!....

I have the fiscal power at my disposal to nip in and purchase an XBOX360 today - however, should I stop being a hasty bunny, and wait until we see what the PS3 is capable of, or in reality, will it be much of a muchness?

Any suggestions please?
 
That's cool, but I'm concerned that if I waited a few months, I could get a far superior machine instead?......oh I might just chuck my loot on "Dead Loss" in the 4-40 at Doncaster...
 
In hindsight and if I had the patience/willpower I personally would have waited to see how good the PS3 is then made my mind up from there.
 
Forget the PS3, It's a while off yet and will no doubt get put back again, the 360 is absolute class, and Sony are really going to have to do something very special to beat it (and to be honest I can't see it)

Or wait for the REVOLUTION! :D

Seriously, go and buy an Xbox360, get yourself Fight Night 3, Ghost Recon, Burnout 4 and Project Gotham Racing. 4 top class games. You could wait for the Playstation 3, but you will wait months on top for a range of games available on the Xbox360. You also get the excellent Live! service, Demo's to download etc... and an excellent friends network through OcUK.
 
Get one, play it tonight and every night until the PS3 is out. If you prefer the look of the PS3 when it's out, sell your 360 and get one.

Life's too short and 7 months (if they achieve there Nov release) is a long time to wait.

The hard question, is not whether to get one, it's what games to get. :)

'Far superior'? I think thats going a bit further. It will be more powerful, yes. It 'may' have a good online service aswell. It 'may' also have a good lineup of games.

Fact is, you can have all that now, thats something Sony can't do.
 
Bah, when the PS3 comes out, you'll be debating holding off for the Xbox1080/3/Next/some-such-weird-numbering-system. :p

Do you like the look of the current games available for the 360? How about the ones coming in the next 3-4 months? I think this should give you the answer you are looking for
 
to be honest..go get an xbox 360 - they are so good

sure the PS3 may well be more powerful machine, but the xbox isnt exactly weak and by the time PS3 is realsed the 360 games will be so polished and taking advantage of its power it will out do the PS3 for a while.

I'd get the xbox now and wait till next year if you really want a PS3.
 
PS3 is at least 8 months away, surely you could save another £300 in that time :D

Go out and buy a 360 and enjoy playing a next generation console now. There's really no point in waiting.

^Definitely

There's no point buying a new console for the hell of it if it's got no games you want to play on it, and likewise there's no point waiting if the current offering interests you.
 
Go for the 360 mate. Even the developers are saying that there's virtually nothing between the machines performance-wise but it is easier to get more out of the 360. I can't see the PS3 being significantly better than the 360 and the 360 is available NOW!!! :D

the most important thing that you need to remember

Xbox 360 is available now,

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is due for release in october 2006 whereas the PS3 will not be out until November

can you really justify a whole month without PES6 ?

buy 360.

A few months? We wont be seeing it till the end of this year...

Yeah I must say I wouldnt be at all suprised if we didn't see it on these shores for at least a year from now.
