Xbox360 - Save game data transfer

I'm getting a new slim Xbox 360 over the weekend by trading in my old one.
The only thing I'm concerned about, is my Mass Effect save games. I played through the first two and want a continuation of my own choices, therefore I must be able to transfer my save game data.

Would it sync when I recover my Gamertag or do I need that data transfer cable?

Put it on a memory card / USB stick -> install it onto the new machines HDD?

Actually - reading up on that , you can't use a normal memory stick.

You can. The Xbox 'formats' any free space for use.

The smallest space you can format is 1 or 2gb i think? just use an old one

You can even use an external disk if you have one, the 360 will format it to a max of 16GB.

If I were you I would just grab an 8GB USB stick if you dont have one and use that.
