Xbox360 Universal media remote

I brought this the day i got my xbox360..But i have not opened it yet..

What can i use this remote for ? (Is it only used for DVD play back?)

Am mainly asking this question to know if it's worth keeping or selling it on before i open it..

I use mine with my media centre PC, have the MS media centre keyboard, but the mrs can use the remote far easier than the keyboard.

Plus it glows green too!

Does the MCE keyboard work with the 360? It didn't when I tried last (unless it's changed in an update)

If you have a Premium and have the smaller remote id sell it unless you want to use it with a media centre PC

I have the Premium pack but no remote came with it.

Am just trying to clear all my stuff out of my room i don't use or need..So i can get around to repainting my room without hundreds of things in the way..

The keyboard doesn't with the 360, but both the remote and the keyboard will work with MCE.

Yeah. I was hoping they could update the 360 so the keyboard would work with that as well.

TV yes (well some) I also find it handy because you can use the 'Next>>' button to change music track if you are playing from your HDD or PC while playing a game.

Probably a silly question but, does the remote allow you to boot the 360 straight into media center?
