xbox360 + windows media centre?

does anyone use and xbox360 to play there media from a vista pc?

If so how do you find it, does it display exactly like it does on the pc with menus and stuff?

Works just like it. Great with the MS remote control, but doesn't play all types of video and can be a bit noisy.

Awesome. there all just dvd files so shouldn't have any problems on that front. Any idea if they plan to release a blu ray drive?

Also any idea how good the dvd up scaling is on it?

Up scaling should be good, can do 1080p VGA and HDMI, only 1080i over component). No chance of Blu-ray drive, but if think there is a way to stream them using the My Movies app on your PC.

Also, if you have a TV card in your PC, you can use that to through the XBOX.

That a shame, still looks like a good cheap way to stream my dvd collection to the lounge though and upscale my dvd's I haven't stuck on the hdd.

If it had blu-ray it would be awesome. MS is silly for not doing it..

It's between MS and Sony, and Sony aren't going to do that as they are competitors.

As for Media Centre, may as well not use it I find as it is slow and annoying on the 360 (on the blade dash), just tell WMP11 to share your music, video and pictures and then go to the media section on the dash (not sure what it's like on the new dash) and play any/all of your content. Your PC only needs to be on and it'll run fine.
