XBOX360 Wireless Receiver "dead"

ok, the past few months I've noticed that the controller will just stop and reconnect when playing GTA4 - thought nothing of it other than maybe bad batteries (even though fully charged) but today the receiver was unplugged and plugged back in, I noticed the green LED did not come on and the PC would not acknowledge that anything was plugged in.

Tried it on the laptop and still the same, nothing.

So who else has had their's die?

Are MS as good as Logitech with RMA?

Mine was damaged when the dog chewed it up

, plugging it in the PC caused it too reboot. I could really do with getting another one.

Well I had it for a year working quite well I had no problems with it, used Headset and Controller with it until it was chewed up.

I had a funny power issue with mine where it wouldn't work when plugged into a built in USB port. Sometimes it connected but then my mouse wouldn't power up. I resolved this by getting a powered USB hub and now all is sweet.

Have you added any new USB peripherals recently?

Nope, It's not a USB issue on my end, the receiver itself is dead as confirmed by connecting it to a laptop with no USB devices on a different OS too.
