Hi,
anyway i can stop this?
It's only started doing it since i change to a hdmi cable, when i change to hdmi on my tv the xbox restarts.

Did you do the hack to reuse another MS cable for optical sound as you did not want to buy the HDMI sound adapter if yes then thats the issue as it auto switches by design otherwise sorry don't know.

Got anything in the 360 Audio/Video port aswell as the HDMI? if not its a handshake issue with the TV and is unfixable.

yeah i have the original cable in and my hdmi cable in.

No, the problem occurs from the wrong pins being jumped together in all the AV cables, the only correct one is that dongle, i took the cheap option though and got a cheap scart cable with optical port on and completely rewired it using a wiring diagram of the official dongle.

I was having the same problem and had to result in buying the official HMDI cable to stop it from happening.

Shop around online as well some want silly money others want around £19.99 which is more reasonable!

i thought about ebay, £6.99 for the adapter and hdmi cable, unlike on xbox site $49.99
