xCode Mac Iphone Ipad Emulator

How accurate is the xCode Iphone/Ipad emulator when designing websites?

I have a Macbook Air running xCode to test websites out in it's Iphone/Ipad emulator. Ideally I would like the actual hardware to test with just to be sure. If anyone has the actual hardware and emulator to compare, do websites look similar?

It's identical, you are fine using the simulator to develop your website.
