Wonder why GMG will issues keys now and GGG are waiting to release to issue keys?

Glad I bought mine on Steam proper, I guess.

Ok so my better half has pre-ordered this for me as its my birthday on the 9th :)

God I remember some of the Alien turns taking 45 mins on terror sites or bases on my Amiga 500.

I cannot remember if I played the original XCOM: UFO Defense (UFO: Enemy Unknown alt name) on my Amstrad CPC or 386SX :) but it was my first proper strategy type game and I remember the moves taking ages LOL

XCOM: UFO Defense is 75p on GameFly - http://www.gamefly.co.uk/Download-X-Com-UFO-Defense/5001197/#.UG_-hlHAHZE

Very tempted for 75p!!

Got my GMG key today -- I got the classic soldier pre-order pack, but not Civ V. Did you definitely get Civ from that as well?

/is preloading at 6MB

I almost missed this until just before the cut off for the pre-order specials:p

I've still got the original game on my shelf, in it's lovely box with the insecftoid on the cover:)

Get Games Go still have it for £23.39 with a free copy of Civ 5. However, it seems looking at the comments above that they haven't sent out the Steam codes as yet whereas places like GreenManGaming have...

So wheres cheapest for this?
Any discount codes or anything?

Greenmangaming has it for £28.99 and have a 25% off code for digital downloaded games on their front page, which knocks it down to under £22

And from what I understand due to the pre-order bonuses even greenmangaming users will get the Civ5 cd key too, which makes it a great deal.

Yeah I ordered a copy from there and they won't send the key until the 12th. Got the Civ5 key straight away tho :/

Rather pleased I get Saturday and Monday off work. I'm sure there will be much rage quiting over that weekend, not that it'll save me on Ironman. :)

Might have been lasersquad the true original game that all the UFO games were based on.

I'm sure there are some hardcore Rebelstar goons that would claim otherwise. I wasn't one of them though and dearly loved good ol' Laser Squad. In fact I will create a Corporal Jonlan in its honour. :o

UFO definitely wasn't on the Amstrad ... I used to have a 6128 :)

Rather jealous of you. A 6128... I could only dream of such powah while waiting for my 464 to load up.
