Xda mini S not connecting to GPS receiver HELP!

Just received my GPS receiver today, its a Holox BT-321 bluetooth receiver.

Will be using it with the xda mini S running windows mobile 5, which has tomtom 5.21 installed.

Ok, tomtom seems to be installed just fine, the xda picks up the gps receiver, allows me to enter passkey, and seems to connect just fine. However, when I start tomtom it says no GPS receiver. Any help greatly appreciated!

Go to GPS Statu, either via the change preferences menu or more directly via the GPS bar-scale in the bottom right hand corner, and then configure.

when you go into gps settings on tomtom dont select bluetooth, select nmea and it will find it perfectly

I havent done any of the above but it seems to be working now, I was just playing around with the settings and it seems to have picked it up.

On the xda;

In bluetooth settings -> devices -> BTGPS74R.. I ticked the 'serial port'
bluetooth settings -> COM Ports -> added BTGPS74R (COM7)

Then I reset the settings in tomtom afew times and tried different options and its working now so il just leave it at that and test it out properly tomorrow!

Gib786... thats one thing I didnt try at all, I always chose the 'other bluetooth GPS' option, but if I have any problems il try that cheers

How do I add the speed camera software on?

It may already even be installed, if so how would I switch it on? I went past a speed camera today and it didnt give me any warning

preferences > manage poi > enable/disable poi > click the ones you want

Cheers mate

After playing around with tomtom I manage to find that yesterday, i did exactly as you said...

pref > manage POI > enable/disable POI > then i ticked the first 2 options, pocketgps uk (both of which have speed camera pics next to them).

After enabling them, I went to ''warn when near POI" and set it to warn when 250 yards away etc, then I went for a little drive, past a known speed camera but it didnt give no warning? Any idea what im doing wrong?

you have assigned a sound to the warning, also make sure you assign a sound for each type of threat, like redlight, gatso 30, 40, 50, specs...
unless your using the all in one.
