Is there a codecs package that I can apt-get that'll let me play .mp4 files in the freevo environment?

Or can anyone suggest a work around?

is the w32codecs package available in your repos? If not you might be able to add additional repos to support it.

#apt-get install w32codecs

Already got w32codecs and updated - are you sure they're supported in that package?
