Forum software from 1993 would look better than shop.
Tru dat.
As long as the forums look mostly how they do now, I won't mind. I like the current minimalist look, it's much nicer to navigate.
They clearly milked the work experience kid's claims of being able to build websites and forums.

I've been a member of several forums where there has been a notable drop in traffic when they have switched to it due to the god awful interface change with way to much white space and "new features" which never quite work as properly or stably as whatever was used before.
