Should the new forum feature a "like" system? (note: this is like only, not dislike)

It's cos someone sucks. Did it first time, all went really well and smooth, but then they realised they left the like system switched on so had to start again.

Second time, things didn't go so well. Threads were missing, admins couldn't log in, they kept getting random error 500s

Third time, things went smoothly, everything worked, no errors. It was left for a week safe in the knowledge that they were going to release on the agreed date, they just needed to do that last database sync before going live. However, someone left this to the new guy. He straight up deleted the DB instead of syncing it, cos new guys do weird stuff like that.

So now the whole thing has been handed to someone else to do, but they work full time so can only really work on it in the weekends. Secretly this person has no idea what they're doing, but they'll get there... eventually.
 
Does this mean that once the sites updated, that if you post a reply in a thread, then reply to another post in the same thread that it will add your second post to your first (assuming that's still the last post) as other forums do?

And that person is an offshore resource so we can be rest assured that it will all go swimmingly ;)

It was never going live Monday, you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

It'll go live when it's ready, as soon as the staff put a date on it something will delay things and there'll be people in here crying. Better to leave it open ended.
