I am just looking for some Xenon headlights for my car. I have seen some here for £ 27.45 buy 1 get 1 free.

I am not sure of the makes or models of the good ones to the bad, & would like some help in choosing some decent ones for myself

According to their database my car will need H7 bulbs

TIA :)

Piaa bulbs would be a better choice, more expensive but much better

Mine was that price because i bought it with the casing/unit (or whatever is called). iirc, you can buy just the bulb instead (depending on your car).

Mines in the region of £300, not sure i will justify paying that - i'll just get my next car E60 530d sport with them.

Not for a BMW 1 series.

If you can provide me with a link for anything cheaper and the same quality then that'd be great.

Give this guy a call, his name is Dave. I bought mine off him and he can get you one (possibly universal one) for the car you are after.

He's from the FTO owners club. His website is (not sure though) RiceRocket Uk .

Thanks mate :D

I'll give him a try. Might change my mind if he's a lot cheaper.

But for the price are these quite good and will do the job better than the standard bulbs provided. I don't want ot be paying out too much on a car that's nearly 10 years old :)

Is that true? I heard that before but i didnt believe it. Apparently there is a way round it.

Yep.

Relays and resistors to overcome the bulb warning alarm on your new Saab and Vectra C which requires a low ohm resistance accross the bulb/ballast when the lights are off. No ballast (that i have heard of nor tested) can give you such a low resistance, so this is the only solution. This system is fail safe with a 1.5amp fuse, so that if the relay fails at any time the fuse would blow in this kit and not the one in the car!

We can also supply a similar set up with different ohm resistors which are needed for BMWs and Audis with certain kits (even thoughs not bought from me)

Put it this way, it is like driving with the High beam (the brigtest light) on. Mine is the 9000k (bluey-natural light look) and for the first few weeks i look forward to driving at night.
On top of that, your car looks kinda newish even though my has a M plate on it. :D

Those bulbs will be fine for a brighter light.

I changed mine and am satisfied theyre better.

El, i'd sooner go with the guys that specialise in BMW's and have done countless 1 series conversions with the bulb warning system - saying that, im not sure it's worth spending.

No worries, i see your concern.

Here is mine, taken in the day - `no justice done.

Cool, ordered them, and along with some new dashboard lights, that will keep me busy over the weekend ;)
