Xenons ON, during the day?

Just curious as to how many of you drive during the day with you're Xenons on?
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?584977-Xenons-ON-during-the-day

Spotted this thread on cs and the overall response is ''with them on, you're more visible''. In answer to the OP and people might not agree with this, but I'd probably have them off, indeed, having your xenons on makes you more visible and unless you're within a reasonable distance for someone to see your car anyway, the only difference imo is when your cars are so far apart you're not really at risk.

Someone said...

At the risk of drawing the ire of CS's answer to Nelson and Kearney (or, given their age, Waldorf and Statler)...

I don't use my xenons during the day. I figure while they certainly make you more visible if someone is gonna fail to spot my shiny silver car in broad daylight they're probably doing something fundamentally wrong... like looking the wrong way. In which case lights aren't gonna help me.
Thoughts?

Lights off during the day unless it's unfathomably dark & cloudy or raining heavily

It only attracts attention from the law and makes everyone else think "####"

Why would it attract attention from the law?

I have always left them on for awareness visibility. As soon as I take the key out of the ignition they turn off so the lights are always in the 'on' position for me.

normally the range rover sport hse douchebags who have them on

There were more of those in london yesterday than any other make and model of car

WOW perfect english

Xenons on in during the day...

unless its raining leave them off, it annoys me when its clearly hammering it down, which makes it hard to see people on motorways because of spray etc, and morons dont put their lights on, probably because they have auto lights and never use their brains!

apologies, initiative switched on?

IIRC isnt it the law in some countries to have lights running permently? Not sure.

Just got back from Poland and couldn't understand why every car had headlights on 24/7 while driving, asked my missus why..."it's the law" she replied. Seemed pretty dumb to me.

What difference does it make to you/others even if people choose to have their headlights on whenever they feel like it despite your perceived 'idiocy'?

Lights on is increased visibility in all conditions, but diminished when, for example, daylight is good.

The point is not "Why?" really but "Why not?" There is no detrimental effect really and only really something to gain?
