Hi,

Installing XenServer on my box and trying to get it to work similarly to how I previously had another set up.

Previously I had Proxmox as the host, within which I had set up a private virtual lan/bridge (vmbr2 which had an IP 192.168.0.254 and had iptables postrouting nat for the 192.168.0.0 network). When creating the VM the network was the bridge/virtual lan (vmbr2).

Ultimately, it was something along the lines of http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussio...r-setting-up-windows-on-the-new-kimsufi-range

I'm now trying to re-create the same thing in XenServer (so a single public IP, a virtual network with internal IPs and will route the ports appropriately to the correct VM's (i.e. 27015 to games server, 80 to web server, etc).

What would be the best way to do this?

Similarly set up a bridge within the host and assign or?

Thanks.

Edit: also only one NIC.

Edit: also only one NIC.

Take a look at openswitch, it may do the trick. I use it to pass VLANs to VMPlayer which runs a ESX6 VM, all sitting on Debian Linux.

Why you may say, ESX running on VMplayer? Well it's only a test rig and ESX 6 does not support the NIC's in my server and I'm too tight to buy intel NICs:)
