So i changed my Pentium dual core out for a xeon e3 1225 v3. Its a haswell cpu and its running on a gigabyte h81m-ds2 board.

Cpu is boosting fine. Single core benchmark it goes up to 3.6ghz and multicore stress puts all 4 cores to 3.2ghz.

Now i fiddled with a bios setting called turbo power limit. It was at 84w or 88 cant remember but i upped it to 100w.

Now when stressing all 4 cores all of them boost up to 3.4ghz!!

The mobo is fairly basic so i dont know if i can or should increase this power limit figure. Im guessing if its set high enough i may even get all 4 cores boosting to 3.6ghz.

What are your thoughts on this?
Using hwmonitor does show cpu package power got up to 98.xx watts so its usung more than the stock tdp of 88 or 84w.
