I have a Asus X99 Sabertooth board running a Xeon 2699v3

It was running 16GB Ram (4 slots) 3000Mhz ram with no problems but have just upgraded to Corsair 32GB (4x8GB) Vengeance LPX DDR4 Black 2400Mhz C14

At first it saw the 32GB in windows then crashed, reset the motherboard but now its only showing 24GB. Have checked all the sticks and all seem fine, so thought it was a faulty ram slot but if I take the memory out and just use 16Gb in the previous slot that the 32GB was not shown in it see's it.

I'm so confused

Did you make sure the RAM was seated in it's slot properly? I've made that mistake a few times before (It still surprises my how much force is needed to get them in properly).

Must be a wicked maching though, what do you use it for? As a workstation mainly? Even 32GB sounds a bit short considering the number if VMs you could run on that beast.

Can you give the ram a bit more juice?

Not sure how, do you mean more voltage?
