I'm looking into building a new system. I got my hands on a pair of Intel PHI cards (57 cores each!) so I'd like a 'big' system..

What's the best bang/bucks on the Xeon E5s? The range appear quite wide. I'd like one-core power to be somewhere near my current OCed 2600k, but it's probably unlikely this exists.

So what else? Anyone has good and/or bad stories?
