I take it that this CPU can go in pretty much any board which would also support a 10900k? Or are there any compatibility issues with it being a Xeon? I'd also need the motherboard to support 128GB of RAM (4x DIMMs).

I ask as I have two Dell workstations with this CPU in and the case is small, which means quite a bit of heat and high fan noise. I'm wanting to buy a motherboard and regular case so I can cool it properly and have decent NVMe cooling.

Thanks!

Unlikely, since 6th gen they usually require a different chipset, but as far as I know this cpu wasn't widely available to diy, nor were the boards. There are people who mod the bios/me to support xeon cpus, but stock I believe you need W480 (or W580).
