Was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with or has been able to find any reviews of the Xerox XM7-24W Widescreen LCD Monitor?? Been offered some for work nice and cheap, and I am pretty sure my boss would rather shell out the cash for these rather than the Dell, Hyundai or Samsung varients I suggested. Problem is, I have no idea whether these monitors are actually any good, and do not fancy him breathing down my neck if I say yes and they turn out rubbish, but if they turn out to be bargains because of someone's experience/knowledge of them from here, then I will be putting in for a pay rise!

Specs are as follows.....

24W" LCD
a-Si TFT active matrix
Horizontal Viewing Angle - 170 Degrees
Response Time - 5ms
Pixel Pitch (mm) - 0.270mm
1920x1200@60Hz
Vertical Refresh Rate (Hz) - 56-76
Contrast Ratio - 900:1/2000:1
Video Output - Analog & DVI

If anyone could explain the specs to me would be great :)

I was suggesting the 24inch equivalents of Hyundai, Dell or Samsung as alternatives. I know the dells are good because I own one, and I know from various opinions here that the other 2 are also good. But the boss obviously is more concerned with the price.

Now does this monitor sound good to you? Have you got one? Is it pants? Any reviews?

Monitors will primarily be used for CAD and FPS gaming when the boss is away. Xerox good for them? Or should I stick to my guns and suggest the trusted monitors?

Cheers xxx

Have found a little info, and the most important thing is that it's a TN panel. Which to me means instant no-no because of bad viewing angles - especially on a 24inch.

There are plenty of better 24inchers out there. The OCUK24 for starters.

Cheers for the input, anyone else got an opinion or familiar with this monitor? It appears to be like the holy grail, I have asked on at least 4 other TFT based forums and no-one appears to have born witness to it :(
