xf-i and 2142

guys i have just got a soudblaster audio card as it was cheap. it has xf-i but when i try to enable this in 2142 the games tells me its not compatible, anyone else had this prob ?

it is xf-i but ive been told that as its the basic card it wont work, so il need the gamer version

its just the basic, xf-i ausio mate, costs arround 25quid.

ive just found on the creative forums, that my card the xfi extreme audio doesnt have xfi at all :rolleyes:

its just named that because creative added a few new bits from the xfi series. so basicaly its a piece of **** which needs to be sent back :mad:

i will be sending it back, if i had known at the time i would have orderd the better one. tbh i think its a con that they advertise it as xfi. plus from what ive heard out of it so far, my onboard sound is better .
