XF or 5 Series? - Need help please.

Oh, I thought it was an Approved Used you were looking at, hence my comments. It's well priced, but that car only has the basic idrive and Business navigation.
Isn't that all you need unless driving on empty roads in the sticks? Professional nav wouldn't be high up on my list these days when there are far better solutions. As long as I had a screen for the on board computer I'd be happy.

Ah sorry, I don't know the difference if I'm honest. But you did save me a bunch on the service package as the packages they were offering were basically inline with what you were saying.

Yeah wasn't bothered about in car nav as I'll never use it anyway. I'll continue to use Waze on my phone as I do now which I use very rarely anyway.
I'm only wofting up and down the M1 and A1 to and from offices and airports so Waze with Google Nav integration is nigh on impossible to beat for traffic warnings and redirection when I need it but I've used sat Nav maybe 4 times in the last year.

The service packs...I'm not sure I really buy into it. I've had one since owning the M5 and about 6 months ago it came up saying it needed rear pads changing. Booked in, they "inspected" the rear pads and said they were fine (even though I know the mileage within iDrive is based on the wear sensor). Car came back and the mileage on the wear sensor at the rears had gone up to outside the scope of a service. It's subsequently sat there ever since.....

Pads are not covered anyway on the standard service inclusive. The idrive readout for pads is not that accurate so it's probably correct that they adjusted it.

The dash is designed for the bigger screen and ends up looking weird with the little screen and the plastic blanks either side.

So have had the car nearly 24 hrs now and have to say I'm nothing but amazed by it.
Its power delivery is like nothing I've owned before and yet still this morning on the commute to work I'm achieving 51mpg.

I'll have to add some pics to the M Power owners thread I think! :D
