xfi / DS4 / BF2 issue

anyone having any issues with the XFI fatality, DS4 and BF2? since my upgrade BF2 seems to crash at different points, I took the XFI out tonight and enabled the onboard audio and it didnt crash in the 2 hrs I was on line, the XFI was bought the day OCUK got them in so its been running for ages without any issues.... having said that I did my upgrade weeks ago and its been solid stable, maybe its linked to my crossfire install... any ideas?

Its not BF2, its gigabyte boards with x-fi cards. You need to set an option in the bios for the card to work perfectly. Not sure what the option is tho. Its around in this forum tho.\

Have you locked the pci bus?? What bios do you have??

I think its my system being overclocked, for weeks its been running at 400FSB without any issues but now its locking up in the middle of games at random points, default FSB all seems ok, the PCIe FSB is fixed at 100mhz, so not sure how it got fried if it did,

Look in google, but i think you have to lock pci bus to 101 or 105!

My XFI music is running fine with my DQ6.

I think the problem was with the DS4, DS3 and S3. There are a few people reporting problems with DS3 and x-fi. I think locking the pci bus changed it tho.
