Has anyone had any trouble with this card in vista 64? I have onboard sound atm, will i hear any difference in games, movies using mono?

Sound is good but drivers are notorious. It should be much clearer, provided the movies are of good quality audio (if they are poor quality you might hear artefacts worse)

I would say so yes. Everyone (inc. myself) were raving about the ASUS Xonars some while ago, take a look at them.

Isn't this the new PCI-E sound card? If so I just installed the Fatality edition on a friends brand new Vista x64 PC and its working perfectly in games etc.

I think Creatives getting the driver situation under control now although personally I've not experienced any issues with my own X-Fi

i had this card and I thought it was great. No problems in Vista or XP ever.
