Hi guys

Just done a fresh install of Vista 64bit and I have an XFi xtrememusic card in, I can't get my mic working correctly, it either doesn't work or when I play with the settings it works but I can hear myself talking, so it must be a setting I have missed somewhere?

It's doing my head in, can someone tell me the right settings to get this to work ingame please :(:(

Got the latest XFI drivers and Sennheiser PC161 headset (got it wrong in title)

No one got a similar setup that?

I would have though just installing the software and that would be it? But nope theres something amiss somewhere :(

I had the same problem, when it works and you can hear yourself through the speakers, right-click the speaker tray icon bottom right, click playback devices, click speakers, then goto properties, goto levels tab, scroll down until you see microphone and click mute :)

On an x-fi fatality here, with vista 64, and 4gig ram, all works ok.

Checked microphone playback in the creative console??

This was already setup as above :(
