Xfire 5850's Clocking Question

Hi all

I've got a Powercolor PCS+ 5850 1GB in my existing system and I've picked up a cheap Sapphire 5850 1GB for my new build to run them both in Xfire.

The PCS+ is factory oc'd and is 760mhz core clock with 1050mhz memory clock.

The Sapphire is 725mhz core clock and 1000 memory clock.

Does this make the PCS+ drop to 725 and 1000 as per the lowest card?

Also can I individually adjust the clocks so I can push the Sapphire up to the same as the PCS+?

Finally, I guess with a bit of playing I could push them both up to say 800/1150 ish?

Thanks for any tips :)

You should be able to set both cards at 760/1000 no problem! Game for a little while to check if stable! then go a little higher if needed, then repeat until you are happy or it becomes unstable. At some point you will find your limits.

Not sure what you can push them to as i skipped from 4xxx series to a 6xxx series card in january, but as far as clock speeds, the faster card will down clock to the speed of the slower 5850.

With that said, im sure you can use CCC or any other OC'ing programme and get them both to the same speeds.
