Xfire and BF2

Xfire works fine with my BF2.

It should ask for your BF2 username and password, but then should join normally.

When you say you have to type in the IP, where does it make you do that?

It is case sensitive I have found. Ensure that your username is exactly the same case as the one registered with gamespy.

Hope this helps.

nup doesnt work with me, never has. even putting the name and pass into the bf2 shortut command line, and trying about 30 combinations of it, still doesnt work at all. BF2 hates me.

I put BF2 up onto the shelf a long time ago and its been there a while now. I did reinstall BF1942 last night though. :)

I hear that BF42 > BF2 in terms of gameplay and logevity.

I much prefer it and still play it more than BF2 :)

back OT, make sure its an up to date xfire, or there is a file to edit in the xfire folder that has bf2 username and password in it, its fairly straight forward to do :)
