Recently Ive started getting into PC gaming, so added a low spec HD 4830, 512mb GDDR3 to my HTPC. Then bulked on the case ready for a MOBO/CPU/RAM overhaul.

Problem is, the HD 4830 is a good card for the price, but it struggles to play most games (Oblivion at 1080p JUST plays....and no Im not reducing the res).

Would it be worth xfiring with another HD 4 series or just going straight out for a HD 6 series/ Nvidia equivilent?
Ive read that the 4830 in xfire can compete with the GTX 260 OC at a fraction of the price.

Any help appreciated :)

Not a lot. Right now its on the bottom of my list after CPU/mobo/RAM and they're going to take a few months. Probably looking at about £80 to xfire or £120 for a different series card.
