As title really. Running a sapphire HD5770 512mb card running at mo with no probs. Plays BF3 45-65fps in medium so the card is doing it's job but a friend of mine had just xfired his 5770 1gb and getting min 65fps in high.

Now I want really good looking graphics without costing the earth. £150 is about as much as I can get the wife to let me have lol. But if I did get a 6870 I would Xfire eventually.

Any options or opinions welcome.

Oh and I'm a sapphire fan

Yep for £150 the 6870 is your best bet, not only is it quite a bit faster than your 5770, but the additional VRAM will really help too
However if you can prise another £20 out of your Mrs, then an NVidia 560Ti would be another step up

I have a sapphire 6870. Kind of wish I had a 2gb 6950 as I seem to always have some level of micro stutter. But on the otherhand i usually dont notice when playing and 6950's a load more money

I get a 65 fps + on med - high settings at 1080.

Thinking about crossfiring it if i can find a cheapo. I'd recommend it for the cash tbh. far cheaper than a 560

Yeah hoping there going to be some nice prices in the Jan sales but who know, Also with the new cards coming out might save me a £10er.

I only play BF2/3 and LoL any more
