xfire mob with nvidia gfx card?

I'm using a Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe xfire mobo, I was wondering if it would support an nvidia 8800GTX card in the pci-e slot, or would iI need to change to an SLI mobo even tho i'm not running 2 cards?
