Maybe I am pointing out the obvious , or maybe I have heard an incorrect rumour ( or misunderstood one)
However............
1) If ATI X1900 Master cards are currently having interference problems (not sure if this is just in Xfire configs or as Solo installs also) and the only way to solve this is with the new revision of Master cards coming out shortly
2) Master cards (based on X1900XT chips) and standard X1900XT cards are roughly the same price ( at OCUK at any rate - good on you OCUK)
3) The May ATI drivers are supposed to enable the use of two "slave" X1900 cards in Xfire, instead of the necessity of having a master card
What is the point from ATIs point of view of actually making the new revision of master cards - anyone interested in Xfire will know pretty quickly that they can do without a Master, and anyone who has a faulty one can be sent a slave anyway without causing a problem, So the limited amount of new mastercards that will be sold will easily be counted out by manufacturing costs of the new revision
Just cant see for the life of me why ATI would bother with new revision if the master cards are becoming obsolete/ un-necessary anyway
