Hi all thanks for any help. No matter what game I play at 4k titan fall bf4 etc etc I get mouse lag, it's like the mouse pauses and has to catch up with it self. I've tried all the drivers for the r290 and reinstalled windows 8.1, I have even gone back to windows 7 but it's still the same.
I have tried all the settings in game and tried turning vsync off, the only time it doesn't happen is if I play at 2560x1440. Has anyone got any ideas of what this could be.

What CPU are you using, 4K will put a lot more stress on the CPU/PCI-E bus/RAM as the PC has 4x the work to do for each frame compared to 1080p.

Something like a 4930k will run 4K easy as it has lots of cores/threads and PCI-E lanes and does not even need overclocking where as a 2500k would probably really struggle in some games.

I'm running team group xtreem 2x 4 gig DDR 3 2666mhz ram and a haswell i7 4770k, thanks for any input guys. I can run backwards and forwards and strafe left and right and have no problem, it only happens when the mouse is moved left or right.

Yes I've tried another mouse different ram, and I've clocked my processor and it's still the same, it's driving me insane now lol.

I've found my mouse has a "skating on ice" feel on my AOC 4K, I can't actually see it stuttering or anything but it feels like its playing catch up quite a bit of the time :| seems to go away in PIP/PBP modes for some reason not tried 2560x1440 enough to remember if it was happening at that res.

It's just weird how it's happening at 4k the games run fantastic and look great as long as I don't touch the mouse. I've tried two different mice but they are by the same manufacturer, I'm going to buy a cheap mouse in the morning and see if that makes any difference.

Just a quick update, I purchased a £8 mouse and the stutter has now gone away so after three days of reformatting driver updates it was my gaming mouse after all thanks for all the input.

stupid question, but i got the same on my monitor until i realised it was running at 30hz in the ctrl panel, is yours?

edit: nvm you sorted it

4K certainly has a few bugs for people. My issue was gaming at BF4 and never being able to get a DPI that worked for me. I tried so many different settings but just didn't happen, so ended up gaming on a 4K at 1080P. Not that that is a bug but more user error but I wish I could have got the same feel as I do at 1080P @ 4K.

Guess you just after enter test range and keep changing DPI and sense till you find a new setting for 4k.
The difference will be massive, to what you normally used to.
