XFire scaling on 6000 series ..

It means exactly that mid range always get better scaling then high end products just look at 5770 crossfire reviews the 5770 scaled really well compared to the 5850 and 5870 but since it was using the same architecture (but scaled down) it points to high end cards hitting CPU and or memory bandwidth limitations.

When you use a graphics setting where a higher end card in sli will hit the cpu limit and the lower end card won't, of course, it could be a massive difference, however none of the tests we've been looking at in either review are cpu limited.

Also the key thing, 6850 scaling, a midrange card, has better scaling than the 460gtx a midrange card.

Again the fundamental question being asked is, is xfire scaling better with the new series of cards, unequestionably the answer is yes.

High and and mid range cards scaled well but not as well as Nvidia high or mid end, now they scale better.
