Alo, back again for a lil info :)

my currant pc is running a 4670k @4.4ghz 1.25v
msi r9 270x 2gb gaming edition.
super flower 550w gold rated psu
8gb ram

Now my question is...

with my rig oc'd ive just tested how many watts it is using with a meter and its showing that it is only using 302w while running prime95 and maxxmem at the same now. Now i have chance to get a 2nd gpu at a ridiculous price of £70 used from my brother. So with it only using 302w would i be able to xfire the 2nd card without upgrading the psu?

Your current setup under 3dmark11 will pull close to 400w. Where the cpu and gpu are being used as if it was gaming hard. So you would need a new psu to be safe.

AMD R9 270X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 500 Watt power supply unit.
AMD R9 270X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
