just a quick one, whilst im waiting for the bridge connectors, would it still work in xfire without them, allbeit not as fast, or are the bridge leads the thing that let it know you want to xfire?

Crossfire will not work without the bridge.

should the xfire option be in CCC or does it only appear when both cards are installed?

its in advanced ccc....ive 2 4890s in xfire works really well


but it should recognize the setup

yeah, i only have one card installed (the bridge cables are in the post), and cant say i noticed it in the options but then thought maybe it only shows up when to cards are installed and bridged.
