Another little question if I may? I have dropped my XFX back from the ghz bios to stock and the voltage now says 1169 in Afterburner. Is this right as I thought it was lower than that and I cant for the life of me find out what stock voltage is anywhere

Stock volts on both of mine are 1.175v, so yours look to be about right

How much do you think it would be for a starters kit? And would I have to put my CPU under water as well?

I would say around £400+ and that wouldn't include a CPU block. I am talking about cooling 2 GPU's though.

You don't need to put the CPU under water but I always would (CPU blocks around £50).

Never knew there was a way for using the Peters in CrossFire/SLi, food for thought for anyone wanting to go that route.

Interesting results petey, used to have a 140mm Thermalright blowing directly onto the vrm area for when I needed to up the clocks for specific titles/BM's, but after changing the 140mm to an Akasa Viper 120mm, temps were better from the higher airflow hitting the vrms.

Never thought of turning it round to suck air away from the vrms, there's a possibility it may reduce it some more, but it could also make it worse, food for thought nonetheless.

It's why you may see me often babbling about side exhausts. These and the other tests I did in conjunction with a couple of 92mm intakes tied to the bottom of the Peter back it up. Side intakes actually raised temps in every scenario.
Of course, these results may be specific to the fan bracket setup I used. Case mounted fans may offer different results depending on where they're located.

I always feel side fans keep the heat around the GPU's and don't allow it to escape (blowing the heat from the GPU's back over the GPU's).

In my experiences, it is best to try and get the heat out the top (or back) as quick as possible and having a front intake fan with a top/back exhaust fan is the optimum way.

Yep, I found that to be the case. It basically traps the heat.
Getting the hot air out was the key. In my case, ejecting it straight of the side worked brilliantly.

Would a side exhaust not bugger up the front to back airflow on my 650d though?

With your side window, yes unfortunately...

I first did it with a Shinobi and cut a hole in the side panel. Then I got a 500R and the large side mesh (200mm fan removed) worked well enough with the setup.

Either way, none of this side exhaust stuff is strictly necessary with the Windforce/Accelero (or even the Peter really). As long as the rest of your case airflow (specifically the top venting) is good, you shouldn't have any real issues above that which other Xfire/Sli users have.
I'd remove any PCI slot covers as an extra help even if they're vented ones.
