Problem you will encounter is taht the second PSU wont give enough current to the GPUs on the boot up for your motherboard to recognise them. Way around this is by splitting the PCIe cables so that the motherboard powering PSU has a PCIe cable to each of the GPUs. You can put a 6pin plug to each GPU from the PSU which powers the CPU and mobo and have the 8pin power plugs filled byt eh secondary PSU.

The way i would do it is to use one of these. This way you dont have to fiddle around with the power cables to get them to work on boot AND the second PSU will switch off with the first if you ever have any problems. They also look baller and come in a variety of colours :D
 
Looks brilliant.

Had a XFX 8800 GTS 320mb from memory, card ran superb and never had an issue with it but have read of many people have RMA woes with them
