XFX 6800GS - no display

Hello

I've got a new XFX 6800GS PCI-X card and installed it into an Asus A8N-SLI PREMIUM S939 board (which is also new) and I do not get any display - not even a BIOS. The power light on the monitor will go green for about 2 seconds then go amber when the PC is first switched on. This probably means its lost its signal?

Do I have a duff card or a duff motherboard? Unfortunately I do not have another PCI-X based board to test the card to rule it out.

Other components are:
AMD 64 3700+
1GB Corsair RAM
550W PSU
CDRW drive
120GB P-ATA HD

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Yes the 6 pin power has been connect to the card. Can this really be a PSU issue? I'm using a 550W PSU and the only other components I have is 1 x HD, 1 x CDROM and thats it. I've disconnected the HD and CDROM so that the only thing being powered is the graphics card and even then I do not get any display.

Thanks.
