XFX 7870 DD edition vs Core edition?

I was just wondering whether it would be worth paying the few extra £ on buying the double dissipation edition of the XFX 7870, compared to the core edition?

Well even the 7870 was a bit over the top of what I wanted to pay.. The 660ti and 670 would, I assume, be way out of my budget range.

Intel i3 3220. But that's just to begin with, I will be upgrading to an i5 or i7 at a later date.

I was recommended the XFX 7870 so was just looking into it.

Ok thanks for the replies. Can anyone recommend a GPU that will offer the same kind of performance in and around the same price as the XFX 7870?

I'd say my max budget for a GPU would be 200 and that would be pushing it. What kind of performance would I get out of a 7850 compared to a 7870?

I reckon il go for the MSI 7870 and possibly OC that card, then at a later date add another one in crossfire after a CPU and PSU upgrade.

Yea the XFX looked great in some reviews I read but since so many have had issues with XFX themselves I think il go for the MSI 7870.
