XFX 790i Ultra SLI

Looking into getting this with a Q8300.

The spec on the site says it's running Dual channel DDR3 2000MHz. I always get a bit muddled up with this, if I'm right, I think it means the maximum the board can take is 2000 mhz ram, so it will still run 1600mhz ram perfectly well? Or will I need to fork out for the more expensive 2133mhz?

ner i means it will run up to 2000mhz so anything below that will work fine

no worrys you might need a bios update though before you go putting soem off the newer ddr3 ram in there

According to Nvidia's site with the spec I found, it is compatable with Corsair DDR3, so I imagine i'll be ok, but if it doesn't work I'll bare that in mind ty

No you won't need to update the bios, the board has native DDR3 support.

One more thing - as it's an NVidia SLI board... will it only support SLI, or can I XFire on it too? Or will it even take ATI cards?
I think that's a silly question, but something I don't know the real answer to.
