Hi guys was wondering if any1 can help me.

Just got a new XFX 7950 AGP 512 card and when i try and boot the bios loads great then when you would expect to see the windows Home bar loading screen My monitor says preparing for sleep mode then goes off. this happens everytime I try to boot it. But when i put my 6800AGP back in it works fine.

Also when i boot ive noticed the LCD on the fan isnt lighting.

Im running a quite old bios duno if this has anything to do with it .

Ive got a 650W PSU altho it isnt a great 1

Any help would be great

Thanks

Yeah its plugged in. its from a 650W psu with 23A@ 12V . The fans working on the card too just doesnt seem to want to boot windows.
Thanks for your help

It definitely worth flashing your motherboard to the newest manufacturers BIOS there is before trying anything else as this might resolve the problem. Other than that the other obvious thing to look at is the power supply. If you're able to try a different PSU that might narrow down the problem.

Well the card worked fine in my brothers PC. a poo 1ghz sempron. So i even swapped my 650W psu for his 400W and still the same problem. Today i have changed my motherboard and formatted and am still getting the problem surely it cant be processor related?!?!?
